Who we are!!

We are unit of the United States Power Squadrons and are a fraternal organization with civic service offering boating education courses and seminars. Along the way you'll make some great friends and enjoy lots of water activities.
We are located in Gainesville, Fl. home to the University of Florida
Organized in 1914, United States Power Squadron is a non profit eductional organization dedicated to making boating safer.  The Power Squadron is:  over 40,000 members, over 400 squadrons, largest non profit boating organization.
The Gainesville Squadron was chartered in 1963

The Vessel Safety Check is performed free of charge and without any legal obligations or penalties.
If a potential problem or violation is discovered, the Examiner will give the boater options and information for correcting it.
